Dhanurasana (Bow Pose) – Procedure and Benefits

Dhanur Asana known as Bow Pose because while doing this body takes the shape of a bow. This asana is very good for back and stomach. Regular practice of this asana strengthens the muscles of arms, legs and stomach. It also cure the constipation. People suffering from constipation should practice this daily. It will provide relief.

Procedure of Dhanurasana (Bow Pose)

Step 1: Lie down on the ground on your belly.

Step 2:

Bend the knees backward.

Step 3:

Hold the feet with hands below the ankles. Take a deep breath and raise the chest as high as possible.

Step 4:

Now stretch the feet, so that body takes the shape of a bow. Stay in this position as long as you can. While breathing out, relax the body and come in the initial position. Repeat this Aasan for 3-4 times.
